PowerView® Automation: The Peak of Luxury

Selecting the operation system for your new window treatment is often just as important as selecting the window treatment yourself. Few things are worse than a stunning set of hardwood blinds or an elegant roman shade that you don’t use because the operating system is difficult or annoying. That’s why we offer a selection of operating systems for each different Hunter Douglas window treatment we carry. From chains to cords to wands, we have several manual tried and true operation options. We also have cordless options for all of our window treatments, for the increased safety of pets and children in your home. However, our most popular window treatment operation option, and certainly our most luxurious, is PowerView® Automation.

PowerView® Automation near Cambridge, Massachusetts (MA), for easy light control

PowerView® Automation

PowerView® Automation is a motorized operating system that can be added to most of our Hunter Douglas window treatments. This means that no matter what your sense of aesthetic style, the climate you live in, the level of light control you need, or the durability you desire, PowerView® Automation can be added to all of your window treatments. With this revolutionary system, you have complete control over your window blinds, shades, and drapes. With the Pebble® Control System, either wall mounted or as the portable Pebble® Remote Control, you can raise and lower any shade in your home and perfectly control the angle of the vanes and slats in your blinds. PowerView® Automation is especially wonderful for larger windows with heavy blinds or higher windows and skylights that are difficult to access for manual operation.

The Many Benefits

But the luxurious benefits of PowerView® Automation don’t stop with just opening and closing the blinds. Combined with the use of the PowerView® App, you can go beyond simple operation and step into full automation of your window treatments. The app allows you to control your blinds from anywhere in the world. You can also set up specific Scenes. A Scene is a specific positioning for your blinds, and multiple blinds can be arranged in one scene. This allows you to create moods like “Movie Time” in your living room that will automatically bring down the shades to eliminate glare on your TV screen. Or you can create “Nap Time” in your bedroom to block out the afternoon sun. You can even set Scenes to go off at specified times of day or days of the week so that your blinds and sheers are in the position you want when you arrive home from work. A favorite Scene for many of our customers is a “Wake Up” setting that allows natural light in their bedrooms in the morning to rouse them from sleep.
