  • How should I clean my Hunter Douglas window coverings?
    DESIGNED FOR EASY CARE AND CLEANING
    • All Hunter Douglas products are made for a lifetime of wear-resistant, trouble-free performance. • Many shade fabrics are specially treated to repel dust and dirt. • Aluminum horizontal blinds are treated with Dust Shield™, an anti-static paint additive that inhibits dust build-up. • Detailed cleaning instructions are included with all Hunter Douglas window fashions. • See the Care and Cleaning charts for additional care and maintenance recommendations for most Hunter Douglas
  • Where can I have my Hunter Douglas window coverings repaired?
    For warranty and/or repair service, please contact WTI. We will work with the fabricator who assembled the product to promptly repair and/or replace any defective parts or components.

  • What warranty do I have with my product?
    Covered (By a Lifetime Limited Warranty)

    Hunter Douglas window fashion products are covered for defects in materials, workmanship or failure to operate for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product (unless shorter periods are provided below)
    All internal mechanisms.
    Components and brackets.
    Fabric delamination.
    Operational cords for a full 7 years from the date of purchase.
    Repairs and/or replacements will be made with like or similar parts or products.
    Hunter Douglas motorization components are covered for 5 years from the date of purchase.

    Not Covered (By a Lifetime Limited Warranty)

    Any conditions caused by normal wear and tear.
    Abuse, accidents, misuse or alterations to the product.
    Exposure to the elements (sun damage, wind, water/ moisture) and discoloration or fading over time.
    Failure to follow our instructions with respect to measurement, proper installation, cleaning or maintenance.
    Shipping charges, cost of removal and reinstallation.

    The Hunter Douglas® Lifetime Guarantee is an expression of our desire to provide a thoroughly satisfying experience when selecting, purchasing and living with your window fashion products. If you are not thoroughly satisfied, simply contact contact WTI for further information.

  • I have young children and/or pets and safety is a big concern for me. What Hunter Douglas products should I consider?
    All Hunter Douglas products are designed with safety in mind, and provide standard or optional safety features. If you select a window treatment, you’ll see information about what lifting systems and motorization options are available for that product. Also, you can download our Safety Chart for information about our innovative safety features.

The warnings communicates the important message about cords being a potential strangulation hazard and suggests choosing cordless or inaccessible-cord alternatives.
  • Where are your colors and fabrics on the web site?

    We do not currently have fabric or color charts available online. Please contact WTI to see our sample books of fabrics and colors.
  • How do I replace the cords on my Duette® honeycomb or Pleated shade?
    Call WTI and we can help to either set up a repair appointment or can order a repair kit for you, depending on the type and age of the window treatment.
  • Can I have my shades cut down?
    Some of our products may be cut down, however there are certain limitations with fabrics, lift systems, cord routes and size in general. You will need to contact us and we in turn will communicate with our fabricator to see what can be done.
  • I changed the batteries in my window treatment with PowerView® Motorization and it still does not operate.

  • How do I find what levels of energy efficiency, UV protection, privacy and lighting control my window coverings provide?
    You’ll be able to see what levels of energy efficiency, UV protection, privacy and lighting control are available for each treatment within the Hunter Douglas site’s Our Products section. For more information about these functional considerations, please call WTI.
  • I'm looking for window treatments with a motorized lifting system. What Hunter Douglas products should I consider?
    Motorization, remote control, and innovative manual lifting systems are available for many Hunter Douglas window treatments. If you select a window treatment in the Products section, you’ll see information about what lifting systems are available for each product.
  • Does Hunter Douglas sell directly to consumers?
    Hunter Douglas does not sell directly to consumers.
  • I'm not happy with the product I ordered, can I exchange it?
    Hunter Douglas products are custom made and therefore are not returnable/exchangeable unless defective according to the Hunter Douglas lifetime limited warranty. However, you can discuss options with WTI and we will work with our fabricator to determine what the possible solutions are.
