  • How should I clean my Hunter Douglas window coverings?
    You’ll find detailed cleaning instructions for all products inside the Our Products section on the Hunter Douglas site, or by downloading their Care & Cleaning brochure. Additional high-level information is provided on their Care & Cleaning page inside the Consider Your Needs section.
  • Where can I have my Hunter Douglas window coverings repaired?
    For warranty and/or repair service, please contact WTI. We will work with the fabricator who assembled the product to promptly repair and/or replace any defective parts or components.
  • What warranty do I have with my product?
    Hunter Douglas Inc. warrants that its Hunter Douglas brand window fashion products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product.
  • I have young children and safety is a big concern for me. What Hunter Douglas products should I consider?
    All Hunter Douglas products are designed with safety in mind, and provide standard or optional safety features. If you select a window treatment, you’ll see information about what lifting systems and motorization options are available for that product. Also, you can visit our Safety page, for information about our innovative safety features.
  • Where are your colors and fabrics on the web site?

    We do not currently have fabric or color charts available online. Hunter Douglas recommends you view the fabrics and colors at WTI.
  • How do I replace the cords on my Duette® honeycomb or Brilliance® pleated shade?
    We can send a cord repair/replacement kit for standard Duette honeycomb and Brilliance pleated shades free of charge, so you can make repairs to your shade. The kit comes with detailed instructions, and all the parts you would need to make repairs. Visit our Parts Request Form to submit your request to us online. Another option is for you to contact your dealer to have your shade sent to a fabricator for repairs. Shipping, handling and labor are excluded from the warranty and will be charged back to you.
  • Can I have my shades cut down?
    Some of our products may be cut down, however there are certain limitations with fabrics, lift systems, cord routes and size in general. You will need to contact us and we in turn will communicate with our fabricator to see what can be done.
  • I changed the batteries in my Duette® honeycomb shade with PowerRise® and it still does not operate.
    To reset the limits on your Duette shade with PowerRise you need to first gently pull on the bottom rail while pointing the remote control at the satellite eye. Once the blind is at the fully lowered position, hold the ‘down’ button on the remote for five to eight seconds while continuing to point the remote at the eye. Then raise the shade up as far as it will go and hold the ‘up’ button of your remote control for approximately five seconds. The fabric should stack tightly.
  • How do I find what levels of energy efficiency, UV protection, privacy and lighting control my window coverings provide?
    You’ll be able to see what levels of energy efficiency, UV protection, privacy and lighting control are available for each treatment within the Hunter Douglas site’s Our Products section.   • I'm looking for window treatments with a motorized lifting system. What Hunter Douglas products should I consider?
    Motorization, remote control, and innovative manual lifting systems are available for many Hunter Douglas window treatments. If you select a window treatment in their Our Products section, you’ll see information about what lifting systems are available for that product. Also, you can visit our Easy Operation page, which is located inside Getting Started, for information about all our lifting systems.
  • Does Hunter Douglas sell directly to consumers?
    Hunter Douglas does not sell directly to consumers.
  • I'm not happy with the product I ordered, can I exchange it?
    Hunter Douglas products are custom made and therefore are not returnable/exchangeable unless defective according to the Hunter Douglas lifetime limited warranty. However, you can discuss options with WTI and we will work with our fabricator to determine what the possible solutions are.
